BMW ‘Nue Klasse’ Drive at Snetterton

After years of working on the BMW’s, Tom got to drive one at Snetterton; big thank you to Dave Evans for the loan of his 2000 ‘Nue Klasse’, known as Rhubarb. The outing was organised by the BMW Car Club, who organise a number of track days during the year. ‘Rhubarb’ has become a bit of a project. On a previous outing at Anglesey, Dave had discovered that a standard road car becomes a bit of a handful on a circuit and that the limits of standard suspension are soon exceeded. Tom set about a suspension makeover, built a pair of front legs and fitted Bilstein dampers all round, lowered up rated rear springs and adjustable fronts. A pair of custom anti roll bars were fitted front and rear. The weather was good and an enjoyable time was had by all.
