End of Year Summary 2021

2021 has been a busy year for Retro Engineering. After the past two years of cancelled or restricted racing due to the pandemic, we have had a good season.

Starting in May at the CSCC  Donington with Shirley’s Dolomite and on the same weekend we had the Masters Historic at Brands Hatch with the BMW 1800. Harry Mailer driving the BMW 1800 had a great race and a class win.

It was great to be back at Silverstone Classic this year, albeit a very rainy affair, but as always the atmosphere and racing were excellent.  Again Harry Mailer was driving the BMW 1800.

We welcomed a new talent this year in Harry Barton; he competed in his first race at Snetterton in August along with Warren Dunbar who we shall also have out next year in his beautiful Jaguar XJS.

Harry drives the ex Dieter Quester car and after completing his 6 obligatory qualifying races at Snetterton, Mallory, Anglesey and Silverstone picking up class wins along the way , he  now has his signatures for his full race licence.  We are looking forward to a busy season next year with Harry competing in the Masters and HRDC series.
