We arrived at Silverstone early on friday 21st October with the aim of testing the TVR Griffith, giving it a general shake down before bedding in 2 sets of tyres and a race set of front discs and brake pads prior to racing in the Pall Mall Cup; a 3 hour endurance race starting at 3pm on Saturday 22nd October 2022.

After a wet test day the skies cleared and we were set for a dry race.

This was Retro Engineering’s first foray into endurance racing and what a result, 3rd overall against some very experienced drivers and teams.

First re-fuel and driver change.

The team consisted of Harry Barton owner of the TVR Griffith and Ollie Reuben, whose father Nigel originally built the car.  Harry started the race with an 80 minute stint followed by a 5 minute compulsory pit stop, re-fuel and driver change. Ollie completed the middle section racing for 70 minutes followed by another 5 minute pit stop final re-fuel and driver change, with Harry bringing it home after the final 20 minutes.
